This is one I'm waiting on. Can't wait for this bad boy. Don't like that it looks frosted. Maybe they make a polished one also.

Youll like that finish when you hold the bar in your hand, its very similiar to the finish on the 100 oz pan am bars I picked up this summer.

what you call "frosted" i know as "Tumble Deburr".

though most of our machine shops have been torn down, i was once lucky enough to work for an electronics company that was committed to "vertical integration" - they made most of their own parts, except for semiconductors.

they had a big tumble deburr area where our machined parts would go after machining.

the tumble deburr machines were a big vat, sort of like a vibratory polisher for silver, but, way bigger. they had some sort of special tumbling material, kind of like rubbery rocks, that took care of whatever sharp edges the machinists didn't catch, plus surface finish.

whatever it's called, i like that finish too. though i think i like that Perth "round-edge shiny" even more.

The problem with the shiny bars is the urge to handle them is strong and then you have fingerprints all over them but my poured stuff can be handled to heart's content without any change.
